Islamabad: Founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has expressed his views regarding Pakistani elections in the American Congress, stating that if this government remains, mark his words, poverty, and debt will further increase in the next budget, expenditures will rise, and income will decrease significantly.
Speaking to the media at Adiala Jail, Imran Khan highlighted that although five months have passed since the elections, he still doesn’t know who won and who lost. The US Congress has approved a resolution on irregularities in the elections, with 85% of Congress members supporting the resolution. He added that the Israeli lobby is the world’s most powerful lobby and it too has not been able to approve such a resolution.
He emphasized that irregularities in elections have been acknowledged in reports by the PILDAT, FAFEN, and others. The Chief Election Commissioner has been tasked to cover up the irregularities in the election.
Imran Khan asserted that the entire country is saying that a fraudulent election was conducted, echoing the sentiments expressed by Commissioner Pindi. He stressed that the role of the Election Commission should be scrutinized by the Supreme Court, emphasizing that in any democracy, one party cannot give seats to another; this simply does not happen.
Imran Khan argued that Pakistan can only be saved by overseas Pakistani investments because they have dollars. Due to current conditions, professional individuals are leaving the country. He further clarified that the foundation of differences within the party is based on misunderstanding. Both groups have been summoned to Adiala Jail for a meeting on Thursday.
When asked by journalists if he was willing to negotiate with the Prime Minister, Imran Khan responded, “Should we negotiate with Shahbaz Sharif about the weather? Does he have anything to discuss?”
