Karsaz Accident: Natasha Danish and Victims’ Family Reach Agreement, Release Expected Soon

Karachi: The family of Natasha Danish has reached a settlement with the families of two victims who lost their lives in the tragic Karsaz accident. According to sources, more than Rs. 55 million was paid as diyat to the family of one of the deceased, Amna, through a pay order.

The News Tribe has secured a copy of the affidavit which confirms that the family of the deceased and Natasha Danish’s family have reached a financial settlement in the Karsaz road accident. The reconciliation was conducted in line with the diyat laws, with a formal statement submitted by the legal heirs of the victims. They emphasized that the accident was unintentional and stated they would not oppose bail for Natasha Danish in court, adding, “We have forgiven Natasha.”

In addition to the financial compensation, a family member of Amna will also be provided employment within the Danish family’s company, as part of the agreement.

Sources also confirmed that separate settlements have been made with the individuals injured in the accident, who were compensated independently.

It is worth noting that Natasha, the wife of Danish Iqbal, Chairman of Gul Ahmed Energy, was speeding a Toyota Land Cruiser when her vehicle struck the motorcycle carrying Imran Arif, 60, and his daughter Amna Arif, 26, killing them instantly, while three others were injured. The crash occurred near the Muslim League House on the service road of Karsaz. She was subsequently arrested and charged with manslaughter.

A medical report revealed that Natasha Danish was under the influence of crystal meth at the time of the crash. The accident on August 19 resulted in two deaths and three injuries. The report’s findings suggested that Natasha’s drug use contributed to the accident.
