17 Palestinians Killed in Latest Israeli Bombardments, 4,000 Displaced in West Bank

Gaza City: In the latest development of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza, Israeli forces have shot and killed a 16-year-old Palestinian boy in the Far’a refugee camp in the West Bank.

According to reports from the Wafa news agency, Israeli soldiers fired multiple bullets at the teenager, reportedly abused him, and obstructed ambulance crews from reaching him.

The tragic incident adds to the mounting casualties in the region, as Gaza’s Health Ministry reports a significant rise in the death toll since the conflict’s escalation. As of the latest update, at least 40,878 people have been killed and 94,454 wounded in the Israeli military attacks on Gaza since October 7. The latest 24-hour period alone saw 17 Palestinians killed and 56 injured, with 18 more casualties reported on Wednesday.

The situation in Gaza remains dire, with continued bombardments exacerbating the humanitarian crisis. The ongoing conflict has also seen widespread displacement in the West Bank, with Palestinian officials reporting that approximately 4,000 residents have been forced from their homes in east Jenin under threat of gunfire.

Hamas has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of obstructing ceasefire efforts by refusing to withdraw forces from Gaza’s Philadelphi Corridor. The United Nations has condemned the Israeli military’s tactics, describing them as “war-like” and detrimental to civilian populations.
