Kelmscott: The Islamic Forum for Australian Muslims (IFAM) will hold a fundraising dinner on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM AWST to support the establishment of the Kelmscott Masjid and Youth Centre.
The fundraising event’s purpose is to raise donations for the establishment of the Kelmscott Masjid, which will serve as the first mosque in Western Australia established by IFAM, as a vital place of worship and community gathering for Muslims in Kelmscott and its surrounding areas. The event will feature Mr. Abdullah Khan, CEO & Executive Principal of the Australian Islamic College, Rais Khan, President of IFAM, Usaid Khalil, Vice President of IFAM, Faraz Chaudhry, President of IFAM WA, and many renowned scholars from the Muslim community in Perth as special guests.
Kelmscott Masjid will not only accommodate the five daily prayers but also function as a youth centre, providing programs for young people, Quran classes, weekly Islamic sessions, and an Islamic Dawah Centre. Additionally, the Masjid will house an ILM Bookstore and offer dedicated support for women.
Tickets for the fundraising dinner are priced at A$22.49 for adults and A$11.90 for children, with free admission for children under 5. For those unable to attend, donations can be made via bank transfer to the following account:
