Islamabad: Speculation is rife regarding the possible joining of former senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader, Muhammad Zubair, into Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
In a conversation with a private channel, Muhammad Zubair confirmed that discussions are ongoing regarding his potential move to PTI. When asked whether he would join Imran Khan’s party, he responded, “I think we should wait and see.”
Acknowledging the challenges faced by the party, he mentioned that the imprisonment of its founder has created difficulties. He also called for the dismissal of false cases against PTI and demanded the formation of a commission for a judicial inquiry into the events of May 9, stating that these incidents should not be used for political gain.
PTI spokesperson Raoof Hasan mentioned that former President Arif Alvi had conveyed a message that Muhammad Zubair is interested in joining the party. However, the final decision will be made by Imran Khan.
