Babar Azam’s Retirement Rumors Spread Rapidly After Defeat to Bangladesh

Lahore: After Pakistan’s defeat at the hands of Bangladesh in the Rawalpindi Test, rumors about Babar Azam’s retirement from Test cricket have quickly spread on social media.

Babar Azam’s poor performance in the series against Bangladesh has led to severe criticism, followed by the viral spread of fake posts claiming his retirement.

Immediately after the loss, rumors of Babar Azam’s retirement began circulating on social media. An initial post misled cricket fans, after which a parody account falsely announced his retirement, which quickly went viral and caught media attention.

Babar Azam’s ongoing struggles in Test cricket have added to his challenges. In the second innings of the second Test against Bangladesh, he was dismissed for just 11 runs. The white-ball team’s captain, Babar Azam, has scored 331 runs in 106 Test innings, with no half-century to his name.

Some social media users are advising Babar Azam to retire from Test cricket.
