Karsaz Accident Driver Natasha was High on ‘Crystal Meth’ While Driving: Medical Report

Karachi: A medical report has revealed that Natasha Danish, the driver involved in a fatal Karachi traffic accident, was under the influence of crystal meth at the time of the crash. The accident on August 19 resulted in two deaths and three injuries. The report’s findings suggest that Natasha’s drug use contributed to the accident, and investigators will consult with medical experts to determine the next steps in the case.

Sindh Inspector General (IG) of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon has confirmed that the driver involved in last week’s deadly accident on Karsaz Road, Natasha Danish, was under the influence of the narcotic methamphetamine (crystal meth) at the time of the crash. The incident, which occurred on August 19, resulted in the tragic deaths of 60-year-old Imran Arif and his 22-year-old daughter Amna, and left three others injured.

Natasha Danish, who was driving a speeding Toyota Land Cruiser, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to collide with three motorcycles and another car before overturning. She was subsequently arrested and charged with manslaughter. Natasha is currently facing manslaughter charges and is on a 14-day judicial remand.

During a court hearing on August 21, the victim’s counsel requested an investigation into the specific substance Danish was under the influence of during the accident. Following this, Danish was placed on a 14-day judicial remand.

IG Memon stated that the medical report, which has yet to be made public, confirmed the presence of methamphetamine in Danish’s system. This revelation could lead to additional charges being added to the case as the investigation continues.

Earlier, Karachi Additional IG (AIG) Javed Odho hinted that there were significant findings in the medical report that suggested Danish should not have been driving. However, he refrained from discussing the details openly, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation. Investigators are expected to consult medical authorities before drawing any final conclusions.
