Islamabad: Internet users in Pakistan continue to face difficulties as PTA officials have stated that internet speed will remain slow until October.
According to media sources, the PTA connects Pakistan to seven international submarine cables, two of which, the SMW4 and AA-E1 cables, are damaged.
Sources indicate that Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) officials expect the SMW4 cable to be repaired by early October 2024.
Officials also mentioned that repairs to the AA-E1 submarine cable have been completed, and improvements in internet conditions are anticipated as a result.
