Heavy Rainfall: Hub Dam Just 2 Feet Away from Reaching Full Capacity

Hub: After heavy rainfall, Hub Dam is now just 2 feet away from reaching its full capacity, with the water level currently at 337 feet.

The recent monsoon rains in the catchment areas of Hub Dam, including the areas around Dariji and the mountainous regions of Khuzdar district, have led to a 14-foot increase in the water level of the dam.

The Meteorological Department has forecasted more rainfall until August 31. If further rains occur, the Hub Dam will reach full capacity, and water will start overflowing through the spillway.

According to the dam administration, only 2 feet of water storage capacity remains. Once the water level reaches 339 feet, the dam will be completely filled, providing enough water to supply Karachi and Hub for the next two and a half years.
