Karachi: Fauji Cement Company Limited (FCCL) has announced its highest-ever annual profit of PKR 8.2 billion for the fiscal year 2024, marking a notable increase from the PKR 7.4 billion profit reported in 2023.
Despite facing a deferred tax charge of PKR 1.8 billion due to new tax regulations, Fauji Cement achieved a gross profit margin of 32%. This improvement was driven by higher sales prices, increased export volumes, and effective cost optimization measures.The impressive financial performance led to an unexpected dividend payout of PKR 1.0 per share, boosting the company’s share price by 4.97% on the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
Key drivers of this record performance included a 10 percent rise in dispatches to 5.1 million tons, up from 4.8 million tons in FY 2023. The company also saw an improvement in its gross profit margin, which increased to 32 percent from 30 percent year-over-year. This improvement was attributed to higher sales prices in the local market, increased export volumes, and effective cost optimization measures.
