Karachi: Religious scholars from various schools of thought have strongly condemned the tragic shooting incident in Gulbahar, labeling it a conspiracy to disrupt the city’s peace.
In their statements against sectarianism, the scholars denounced the malicious attack on the religious rally and appealed to the people of Karachi to thwart the nefarious plans of those intent on creating unrest.
Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqi described the incident as a deliberate attempt to disturb Karachi’s peace and expressed hope that law enforcement agencies would soon apprehend the culprits. He urged his followers to remain peaceful and to resist the efforts of those trying to incite disorder. He also called for an impartial inquiry into the incident.
Allama Syed Nazir Abbas strongly condemned the attack on the religious gathering, stating that any attempt by enemies to fuel sectarianism would be thwarted.
Maulana Taj Hanafi and Maulana Syed Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi also condemned the attack on the religious march in Golimar, emphasizing that they strongly reject sectarianism, extremism, and unrest.
