Karachi: On the occasion of Chehlum of the Martyrs of Karbala, a decision has been made to suspend mobile phone services in Karachi and various districts of Sindh.
According to reports, due to security concerns, high-alert measures have been implemented in Karachi and other cities in Sindh. Mobile phone services have been suspended in Karachi, and M.A. Jinnah Road is closed to all types of traffic. A ban on motorcycle double riding has been enforced throughout Sindh.
The Sindh Home Department has stated that mobile phone services will remain suspended not only in major cities of Sindh but also in Dadu, Thatta, Sajawal, Khairpur, and Larkana.
On the other hand, the government has been unable to provide a satisfactory response in the Islamabad High Court regarding slow internet services. The PTA reported that a third undersea cable was also cut yesterday.
