Pakistan Invites Modi to Attend Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit

Islamabad: Pakistan has invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, scheduled to be held in Islamabad on October 15 and 16 this year.

Pakistan has sent formal invitations to the heads of all member states for the meeting, including an invitation to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to Indian media, the Indian government has not yet made a decision regarding Pakistan’s invitation. However, it is speculated that instead of Modi, an Indian minister might be sent to attend the summit.

It is worth noting that the last visit to Pakistan by an Indian official for an SCO meeting was in 2015 when India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj attended the event.
