New York: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has released its schedule for Executive Board meetings upto September, which does not include Pakistan.
According to media reports, the IMF has issued the schedule for Executive Board meetings up to September 4, and there is no mention of meetings with Pakistani officials. Pakistani authorities are hopeful that Pakistan will receive approval for a $7 billion bailout package in September.
It is noteworthy that the Pakistani government is actively seeking to roll over $12 billion in loans from China, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Pakistan has also requested an additional $1.2 billion loan from Saudi Arabia, aiming to address a $2 billion financing gap with the new loan.
