Karachi: It has been announced that educational institutions will remain closed on Monday in observance of the Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA).
According to reports, the Sindh Education Department has declared a holiday for Chehlum and has issued a notification in this regard.
The notification states that all government and private educational institutions and colleges in Sindh will be closed on the day of Chehlum.
The Chief Secretary’s office mentioned that there will be no general public holiday in Sindh; however, the respective divisional commissioners in Sindh have the authority to declare a general holiday.
