Rahim Yar Khan: In a severe attack by bandits in the Kacha area of Rahim Yar Khan, 12 police officers were martyred, and five were injured.
According to details, the bandits targeted police mobiles with rocket launchers at the Machka Police Camp II in Rahim Yar Khan, where police forces were being rotated.
The police had established a camp in Machka to restrict the movement of bandits in the Kacha area, where approximately 25 armed bandits launched a severe assault.
The rocket launcher attack destroyed the police mobiles, resulting in the immediate martyrdom of 11 officers, with 5 others injured. One officer succumbed to injuries and died while being transported to the hospital, and three critically injured officers were brought to the hospital.
According to the police spokesperson, five officers are missing following the attack, and a search and rescue operation is ongoing to locate them. In response to the incident, a large contingent of police from across the district has been dispatched to the scene, led by District Police Officer Imran.
