Islamabad: Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat was arrested by Islamabad police today while on his way to attend a rally at Tarnol. He was taken to Golra police station.
A large contingent of police arrested the PTI leader. Earlier, PTI workers had gathered to participate in the rally at Tarnol, during which reports emerged that several people had been detained at Express Chowk.
It’s important to note that the Islamabad administration had imposed Section 144 in Punjab the previous day. Sher Afzal Marwat, along with some others, violated this order, which led to his arrest.
Additionally, PTI had already postponed the rally scheduled to be held at Tarnol in Islamabad today.
