Reckless Woman Driver in Karachi Kills Father and Daughter in Speeding Accident

Karachi: A tragic road accident on Karsaz Road in Karachi claimed the lives of a 60-year-old man and his 26-year-old daughter, while three others were injured when a speeding SUV, driven by a woman identified as Natasha Danish Iqbal, lost control and collided with a motorcycle on Monday evening.

Natasha, the wife of Danish Iqbal, Chairman of Gul Ahmed Energy, was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser when the vehicle struck the motorcycle carrying Imran Arif, 60, and his daughter Amina Arif, 26, killing them instantly. The crash occurred near the Muslim League House on the service road of Karsaz.

The victims were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where Imran Arif and his daughter Amina Arif were pronounced dead. Another injured individual, identified as Abdus Salam, 55, was also admitted for treatment.

The incident sparked public outrage, with a large crowd gathering at the scene, surrounding Natasha until law enforcement arrived. She was apprehended by the police with the assistance of local citizens and taken to Jinnah Hospital for a medical evaluation before being transported to Bahadurabad Police Station.

A case has been registered at Bahadurabad Police Station under FIR No. 229/2024, with charges including Sections 320 (Punishment for Qatl-i-Khata), 337G (Punishment for causing hurt), 279 (Rash driving), and 427 (Mischief causing damage) of the Pakistan Penal Code. The complainant is the younger brother of the deceased, Imran Arif.

Natasha’s vehicle, which overturned during the crash, was towed to the police station. The accident also resulted in significant damage to a nearby car, adding to the chaos at the scene.
