Rawalpindi: The Accountability Court has sent PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi to jail on a 14-day judicial remand in the Toshakhana II jewelry reference case.
Details reveal that Judge Nasir Javed Rana of the Accountability Court conducted the hearing of the reference. Salman Safdar, along with his team of defense lawyers, appeared in court. During the hearing, the remand report was presented to the court.
The NAB (National Accountability Bureau) report stated that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi provided written statements. Imran Khan wrote his statement by hand, while Bushra Bibi signed the written statement.
The NAB did not request an extension of the remand for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. The court issued a 14-day judicial remand order. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for September 2, and Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s 36-day remand has been completed.
