Occupied Jerusalem: The Israeli military has intensified its operations in the Gaza Strip, conducting airstrikes on over 45 targets in the past 24 hours. The latest reports indicate significant casualties, including three Palestinians killed and wounded in shelling in southern Nuseirat, and three more after an air raid on a house south of Deir el-Balah.
The Israeli Forces have expanded their ground operations into central Deir el-Balah, an area previously less affected by the conflict. This escalation has forced Palestinians into a diminishing portion of the Gaza Strip, now reduced to just 11 percent. Additionally, a Palestinian journalist, Ibrahim Muharab, was killed by Israeli forces near Khan Younis while covering the conflict.
Since the morning, at least 13 Palestinians have been killed due to ongoing Israeli bombardments in central and southern Gaza. The total death toll in Israel’s war on Gaza has reached 40,139, with 92,743 wounded.
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has announced plans to continue demolishing Palestinian homes and structures as Israel continues to build illegal settlements on Palestinian territory. Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during his ninth visit to Tel Aviv since October 7, emphasized the urgency of negotiating a ceasefire with Hamas and addressing the issue of captives.
In a separate development, Israeli jets have targeted Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, following recent clashes that resulted in the death of two Hezbollah members. Additionally, an Israeli soldier was killed in a drone attack in northern Israel, marking a significant escalation in cross-border tensions.
