Jerusalem: A Hezbollah drone is suspected of infiltrating northern Israel and filming Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in Caesarea, according to a report by Israel Hayom on Sunday. The drone, believed to be on a reconnaissance mission, was detected by an Israeli Navy missile ship stationed off the coast in Caesarea, approximately 37 kilometers south of Haifa.
According to media reports, a Hezbollah drone reached the Israeli Prime Minister’s residence and captured images of Netanyahu’s house in Caesarea, which quickly went viral on social media.
Israeli officials have confirmed that Netanyahu was not at his residence at the time of the incident. An Israeli Navy patrol boat reported a suspicious aircraft in the vicinity of Caesarea’s coast.
It is noted that while the Israeli aircraft radar system detected an unidentified aircraft, other monitoring tools failed to confirm its presence. In response, the Israeli Air Force dispatched fighter jets to the area, which also failed to locate the drone. The Israeli military considered the incident a possible false alarm, acknowledging that radar systems occasionally misidentify flocks of birds or other objects as potential threats.
