Islamabad: The wave of inflation persists across the country, with the price of chicken also seeing a hike of 30 PKR per kilogram.
According to media reports, after the increase, the price of live chicken has reached 540 PKR per kilogram, while the official rate for chicken meat is set at 594 PKR per kilogram. However, in the market, chicken meat is being sold at 709 PKR per kilogram.
Citizens have expressed their concerns, stating that while the government claims of trying to provide relief by reducing petroleum prices, the cost of live chicken continues to rise. They urge the government to take practical steps to control the prices of chicken.
