Islamabad: Renowned scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel hosted a dinner in honor of Pakistan’s Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem, presenting him with a cash prize.
Arshad Nadeem made headlines by throwing a record 92.97 meters at the Paris Olympics, winning the gold medal and bringing recognition to Pakistan after 40 years.
In tribute to the Olympic hero, Maulana Tariq Jameel awarded him a cash prize during the dinner celebrating his remarkable achievement.
The distinguished scholar shared this development on his official Instagram account, where they can be seen sharing smiles in the photos. The exact amount of the prize was not disclosed by Maulana Tariq Jameel.
However, it has been reported that he presented the athlete with a cheque for 500,000 rupees.
Following this outstanding accomplishment, Arshad Nadeem has been showered with cash awards from politicians and celebrities. President Asif Ali Zardari has also announced that he will honor the national star with the second-highest civilian award, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, for his exceptional performance at the Olympics.
