Beijing: China’s largest unmanned cargo drone is ready for its inaugural flight.
According to local media, this drone is designed to carry payloads of over 1.5 metric tons. Created by Sichuan Tengden Sci-tech Innovation Company, the drone has completed a 20-minute maiden flight in Sichuan Province.
Sichuan Tengden Sci-tech Innovation Co., Ltd. is a well-known Chinese company specializing in the research, manufacturing, and application of intelligent aerial vehicles to meet market needs.
Named the AVIC HH-100, the drone has a wingspan of 52.8 feet (16.1 meters) and a height of 15 feet (4.6 meters), making it slightly larger than the four-seat Cessna 172 light aircraft.
The drone features advanced intelligence, high safety, and reliability, with capabilities for easy loading and unloading. It is expected to enhance China’s aerial cargo transport capabilities and provide advanced smart logistics solutions for low-altitude economies.
This test flight follows another cargo drone’s inaugural flight in June this year, which was developed by China’s State-owned Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC).
