Islamabad: A resolution to award Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem a civil award has been passed following his gold medal victory at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
According to media reports, the resolution was presented in the National Assembly by PPP member Sehar Kamran to honor Arshad Nadeem for winning a medal for Pakistan after 40 years.
The resolution paid tribute to and congratulated Arshad Nadeem, stating that his Olympic success and gold medal victory were worthy of commendation.
The resolution to grant Arshad Nadeem a civil award was unanimously approved during the National Assembly session.
It is noteworthy that Olympian Arshad Nadeem secured a gold medal for Pakistan in the javelin throw event at the Paris Olympics, ending a 40-year medal drought for the country.
