Rawalpindi: Founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has stated that the government has only 2 months left and denied the impression that he has apologized.
Speaking to journalists at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Imran Khan said that if elections are held again under the current government, PTI will not accept them. He mentioned that no one has contacted him for negotiations and declared that he will not make any deals, regardless of how many cases are filed against him. He accused some elements in the government of wanting the military to eliminate PTI.
Imran Khan further stated that the government has only 2 months remaining. He refuted the notion that he has apologized and indicated that something significant is about to happen in the country. He said that if no one wants to engage in discussions, he will also refrain from doing so. He criticized the government for becoming increasingly entrenched and stated that while he has ample time, their time is running out.
He expressed readiness to speak for the sake of the country, saying that if PTI members are involved in the 9 May incident, he will not only apologize but also ensure punishment. He added that if any organizational official is found involved in throwing petrol bombs, they should be given severe punishment.
He also mentioned that he will present witnesses in the Al-Qadir Trust case but cannot reveal their identities to avoid risks. He highlighted that 16 of their members were martyred on 9 May and claimed that the police pressured them not to discuss the matter.
