Islamabad: Pakistani students have won silver and bronze medals at the International Nuclear Science Olympiad.
According to a spokesperson from the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), the national team secured these medals at the first-ever International Nuclear Science Olympiad held in the Philippines.
In the competition, Suleman Nouman from Siddeeq Public School, Islamabad, and Subhan Kashif from Lahore Grammar School won silver medals, whileEhban Awan from Karachi Grammar School and Qasim Salam from Siddeeq Public School Rawalpindi clinched bronze medals. This marks a significant achievement for Pakistan as this was the first Nuclear Science Olympiad held in the Philippines.
The Pakistani students’ team was trained at the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), under the PAEC. The winning students hail from Karachi Grammar School, Lahore Grammar School, and Sadiq Public School, Rawalpindi.
