London: The Afghan Cricket Board has imposed a five-year ban on cricketer Ihsanullah Janat following proven allegations of match-fixing.
The Afghan Cricket Board reported that the batsman Ihsanullah Janat violated the ICC’s anti-corruption code during the second season of the Premier League held in Kabul this year. The cricketer has admitted to all charges and acknowledged his involvement in the offense, leading to a five-year ban from playing cricket.
It is noteworthy that the 26-year-old Afghan cricketer Ihsanullah Janat has played 3 Test matches and 16 One Day Internationals (ODIs) in his career. He also played a T20 International match against Zimbabwe in 2022.
