Kuala Lumpur: At the International Taekwondo Championship held in Malaysia, Pakistani athletes secured 2 gold medals and 2 silver medals.
According to international news agencies, Pakistani martial artists Syed Abu Huraira Shah and Syed Hadi Jafri each won a gold medal, while Muhammad Miran and Muhammad Hassan won silver medals.
In the MBW International Taekwondo Championship, Muhammad Hadi Jafri knocked out his Indonesian opponent to win the gold medal. Syed Abu Huraira Shah from Karachi reached the final by defeating a Malaysian player, and won the gold medal due to a walkover, as his opponent did not compete in the final.
Muhammad Miran lost to a Malaysian competitor in the final, and Muhammad Hassan, who was injured, did not play the final and thus won the silver medal.
