Dhaka: The Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, has issued an important message to the Bangladeshi nation.
According to international news agencies, in his message to the nation following the dismantling of Sheikh Hasina’s government, the Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh urged for the maintenance of peace and order. He stated that the country and its people have gained freedom from the clutches of dictatorship in exchange for the eternal sacrifices of hundreds of martyrs, for which we are grateful to Allah.
He congratulated the public and expressed gratitude to students, teachers, journalists, lawyers, poets, writers, civil society, political parties, and various segments of society for making the movement successful. He extended deep respect and honor to those who sacrificed their lives for the movement and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured, noting that the nation will remember our youth as heroes.
The Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh also expressed appreciation for the nation’s proud military, which stood by the people and played a significant role for the country and its people.
He advised everyone to remain vigilant to prevent any criminal from creating an undesirable situation in the country and called for the protection of religious places of worship.
