Lahore: The Lahore High Court has nullified the Anti-Terrorism Court’s decision to grant physical remand for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in 12 cases related to the events of May 9th. A two-member bench, consisting of Justice Tariq Saleem and Justice Anwar-ul-Haq, heard the petitions challenging Imran Khan’s physical remand. Investigating officers from across Punjab presented the case records against Imran Khan in court.
According to a private TV channel, the Lahore High Court also nullified the notification for Imran Khan’s appearance via video link.
During the hearing, Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh remarked that authorities could have included him in the investigation during his interim bail and questioned whether the accused could be forced to undergo a photogrammetric test. Imran Khan’s lawyer, Salman Safdar, argued that there was no information about the cases or bail in several cases involving the PTI founder.
Subsequently, the court annulled the physical remand orders in the 12 cases against Imran Khan.
