Kuwait: Fire in Building Kills 35 People

Kuwait City: A fire broke out early morning in a building in the Kuwaiti city of Mangaf, resulting in the death of at least 35 people.

According to the news agency, Major General Eid Rashid Hamad stated that the incident was reported to authorities at 6 AM local time (0300 GMT).

Media reports indicate that the building where the fire occurred was used to house laborers, and a large number of workers were present at the time. Dozens of individuals were rescued, but unfortunately, many deaths occurred due to inhalation of smoke from the fire.

In this regard, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health reported that approximately 43 individuals were hospitalized due to the fire, with 4 of them subsequently passing away.

It is currently unclear whether the 4 deaths reported by the Ministry of Health are in addition to the 35 fatalities reported by the police.
