14 Dead in Latest Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza, Health Crisis and Famine Looms

Gaza City: The death toll from Israeli airstrikes in Gaza City continues to rise, with the latest attacks claiming the lives of 14 individuals since dawn. Six people were confirmed killed in an airstrike on a home in the Zeitoun neighborhood, adding to the total casualties from continuous bombings.

The Gaza Ministry of Health has raised alarms about a looming health crisis as hospitals and health centers face the risk of shutting down due to severe fuel shortages. The only oxygen station in Gaza City is also at critical risk, jeopardizing the lives of countless patients.

Since October 7, at least 544 people have been killed in the West Bank due to Israeli military and settler attacks, with over 5,200 wounded and 9,170 detained. The overall toll in Gaza is even more staggering, with 37,202 people killed and 84,932 wounded since the conflict began.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is dire, with homes, hospitals, schools, and other essential infrastructure devastated. A UNICEF official reported from inside Gaza, highlighting the relentless bombardment and its devastating effects on the civilian population. The ongoing conflict has led to the deaths of 192 UN employees in Gaza, with several arson attacks targeting UN headquarters in East Jerusalem.

Overnight Raids in West Bank
Israeli forces conducted multiple overnight raids across the occupied West Bank, targeting locations such as Shuweika, Baqat al-Hatab, Balata refugee camp, Deir Ibzi, Budrus, Beit Fajjar, and Beit Ummar. These operations come amid a general strike in Jenin, mourning the killing of six Palestinians by Israeli forces in Kafr Dan.

Disturbing Footage Emerges
Al Jazeera has released footage showing Israeli soldiers allegedly killing unarmed Palestinians in Gaza. One video from June 1 depicts an individual being shot after being stopped by soldiers on al-Rashid Street, a designated safe zone. Another video from May 17 shows a Palestinian raising their hands in surrender before being shot, with soldiers later removing the body.
