Islamabad: Pakistani woman mountaineer Naila Kiani has added another honor to her name, becoming the first Pakistani woman to summit Mount Cho Oyu in China.
Naila Kiani recently scaled the 8,188-meter-high Mount Cho Oyu, which is counted among the world’s sixth-highest peaks. With this achievement, Naila Kiani has now conquered 10 peaks above 8,000 meters, solidifying her position as the first Pakistani woman mountaineer to achieve this feat.
Naila Kiani and Sardar Khan were both part of the Cho Oyu summit team. In this season, Naela plans to also conquer Shishapangma. She has previously summited Mount Everest, K2, Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, Broad Peak, Nanga Parbat, Annapurna, Lhotse, and Manaslu.
