Karachi: Rangers’ Raid, Sugar Worth One Billion Seized

Karachi: Sindh Rangers conducted a raid in Baldia Town and seized stored sugar exported from two different warehouses.

According to the spokesman of Sindh Rangers, 140,000 sacks of sugar were seized during the operation. A crackdown was carried out against sugar hoarders in Islam Nagar, Baldia Town.

During the operation at two different warehouses located on Hub River Road, a large quantity of stored sugar was seized. The spokesman of Sindh Rangers said that 140,000 bags of stored sugar have been seized, the value of which is more than one billion rupees.

This stored sugar was allegedly going to be smuggled to Afghanistan via Balochistan. The seized sugar has been handed over to the civil administration for further legal proceedings.
