Earthquake jolts KPK and suburban areas

ISLAMABAD: A mild earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter Scale jolted upper parts of the country including KPK and Gilgit.

According to the initial reports from TheNewsTribe’s correspondents “Peshawar, Lower Dir, Chitral,  and tribal belt among the areas where earthquake shocks have been reported”.

The tremors were also felt in Malakand, Charsadda, Nowshera and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Epicenter of the quake was 46 kilometer deep at Pakistan-Afghanistan border whil.

No loss of life and property has been reported so far, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said.

Many buildings in Islamabad and Peshawar evacuated after the shocks.

No loss or casualty has been reported yet in any area of the country.
