Video: Police baton charge PTI’s workers in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Police in federal capital Islamabad has started baton charge on the youth convention of Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf () in Islamabad, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Police have started to arrest PTI activist from the scene.

Senior PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has arrived at the scene, trying to negotiate wit police

 Speaking on the occasion, PTI leader Asad Umar told media that  youth convention was an indoor event, it was not violating section 144.
Asad Umar said the government is scared of PTI protest.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Vice-Chairman of the party has strongly condemned the incident and stated that police have tortured peaceful members of the party.

He further said that the tortured members included women members of PTI. Qureshi lambasted the government for revealing its  true face.

It is pertinent to mention here that section-144 was imposed in Islamabad earlier this morning.

Qureshi asserted that he had telephoned Deputy Commissioner (DC) around three hours ago and informed him about the ongoing convention, responding to which the officer allegedly assured Qureshi of contacting him in a while back to clear standing of the department in the matter.
