ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has on Monday accepted PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s invitation to join his party’s November 2 protest in Islamabad.
Samaa News was first to break the news bia its well-placed sources that Imran Khan contacted Dr Tahir ul Qadri and requested his participation in the protest.
PAT leader Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Awami Muslim League head Sheikh Rashid confirmed the important political development.
“This is a major breakthrough for our protest movement. Dr Tahir ul Qadri’s participation in the sit-in will boost our campaign to oust the government, he said.
He lauded Dr Tahir ul Qadri for showing big heart. “Model Town massacre is a bigger case against the government than the Panama Leaks,” he maintained.
Speaking to SAMAA, PAT leader Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that his party would take part in the PTI’s protest.
“We will decide modalities about the level of our participation,” he said, adding that Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah himself admitted that his government shielded Model Town killers.
