SHARJAH: Buoyant Pakistan is all set to encounter West Indies in the first ODI of the three-match series on Friday (today) at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah.
The match will begin at 1500 local time and 1100 GMT.
Pakistan have put cricketing world in an awe with their 3-0 win over World Champion West Indies. Team Pakistan outplayed Windies in all the departments in all three matches.
Let us hope that change of captain and format brings some good omen for West Indies. But, they have to adjust to the slower conditions here in UAE, or else it would prove to be an extension of T20s.

Pakistan on the other hand, would be desperate to perform good and arrest their ODI woes. They have been on the worst side of their ODI form. Exclusive of their last ODI win over England, Pakistan lost 9 out of ten matches they played. One big win was over Ireland last month.
It is their golden chance to carry the T20 momentum to ODIs and begin their WOrld CUp 2017 campaign on a high.
Though, Azhar Ali, the Pakistan skipper would be under due pressure, but one good win against West Indies would be sufficient for him to bring best out him and the team.
