Altaf Hussain’s anti-Pakistan speech stirs controversy

KARACHI: Bits of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain’s anti-Pakistan speech have been released on social media which stirs controversy across the country.

In the available video clip, the MQM supremo is not only cursing Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif but calling Pakistan a failed state, epicenter of terrorism and worst country on earth.

Altaf Hussain made this live audio-call-speech to its party workers in Karachi who were on a Hunger Strike for last 6 days.

MQM leader not only cursed Pakistan but also asked workers to attack Media Houses which do not broadcast his live video calls from London.

The speech caused huge disrupt and unrest in Karachi. MQM’ provoked workers attacked different Media Houses in Karachi especially ARY News, Neo TV and other media workers.

Following the attack, violence erupted in various parts of metropolitan in which at least one innocent lost his life and many received injuries.

In a late but authoritative response from the state, many senior MQM leaders including Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain, Amir Khan, Dr Farooq Sattar and Khuwaja Izhar ul Hasan have been detained from Sindh Rangers.

Media reports also claim that the Party’s headquarter Nine-Zero was also raided by paramilitary forces and at least 6 MQM workers were detained from the spot.

Meanwhile, separate reports claimed that MQM’s official website has been taken down and there are unconfirmed reports that Nine-Zero, MQM headquarter in Karachi, will be sealed soon.
