Birmingham: The 2nd ODI of the five-match series between England and Sri Lanka is to be played at at Edgbaston, Birmingham on 24 June (Friday).
It was an absolutely stonking match three nights ago but, having had England 82 for 6 chasing 287, the tie did Sri Lanka few favours in their attempts to fight back into the Super Series (I trust we’re all still taking this seriously?); basically, at 11-3 down, they need to rack up the Ws over the next week.

Update: Sri Lanka have won the toss and bat, so they will be setting a target again.
Mathews declares himself fit, happy it’s not much of a gamble. Suraj Randiv comes in for Dasun Shanaka in the only change for Sri Lanka.
Eoin Morgan says he would have batted first, too (apparently that is the preferred MO for this side, although they bowled on Tuesday).
England stick with the same XI.
