PCB’s skill camp for England tour begins today

LAHORE: A week-long skill camp of Pakistan players for upcoming England tour preparation has started in Lahore, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Twenty-one shortlisted players by Chief Selector Inzimam ul Haq will take part in the camp. Newly appointed Head Coach Mickey Arthur will also join the players during the camp.

Inzimam shortlisted 21 players for the camp and also announced the Pakistan A team for England Tour.

While boot camp was aimed at improving players’ fitness, skill camp is being arranged to work on batsman’s techniques. Just to make players compatible with English seeming wickets, green-top wickets have been prepared in Lahore.

The camp will continue till June 5 in Lahore, and according to Samaa News, the final squad for England tour will be announced at conclusion of the camp.

Players participating in the camp are:

Muhammad Hafeez, Sami Aslam, Khurram Manzoor, Sarfraz Ahmed, Muhammad Rizwan, Shan Masood, Asif Zakir, Azhar Ali, Younus Khan, Misbahul Haq, Asad Shafiq, Iftikhar Ahmed, Muhammad Amir, Rahat Ali, Imran khan, Junaid Khan, Ehsan Adil, Sohail Khan, Akbarur Rahman, Yasir Shah, Zulfiqar Babar, Wahab Riaz.
