No meeting planned between Zardari, PM: Kaira

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Secretary Information Qamar Zaman Kaira dispelled media reports that Asif Ali Zardari was scheduled to meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in London.

Prime Minister Sharif is in London for a long over-due medical treatment. Opposition leaders Imran Khan and Asif Zardari are also present in the British capital.

“Neither Zardari sahab is in contact with Mian sahab (Prime Minister) nor any political meeting is on agenda,” Kaira told media persons in Islamabad.

He said PPP has dissolved all of its sub committees to reorganize the party.

“PPP is the party of political workers. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is contacting his workers to seek their opinion about the changes,” he said.

To a question, he said that PPP was in touch with opposition parties on the issue of Panama documents.
