Venezuelan lightning storm: World’s greatest storm which lasts 160 nights a year

CARACUS, VENEZUELA- World’s greatest lightning storm is faced by Catatumbo which is an everlasting storm. This storm lasts 160 nights a year, 10 hours per day and up to 280 times per hour.

Seemingly, this storm is the biggest originator of tropospheric ozone in the world. It creates that much reaction and energy.

Basically, it occurs on and around the Lake Maracaibo mainly over the mire area formed where the Catatumbo River flows into the lake.

After appearing continually for centuries, the lightning ceased from January to April 2010, apparently due to drought, temporarily raising fears that it might have been extinguished permanently.
