It is worth mentioning here that Punjab government’s spokesman Zaeem Qadri Thursday opposed the Protection of Women against Violence Bill passed by the provincial assembly, where his party enjoys thumping majority.
Talking to private TV channel, the spokesman said that a resolution for the rights of men should also be tabled and passed in the assemblies. He said that such laws would affect the domestic lives.
The remarks come a day after the Punjab Assembly passed the bill protecting women’s rights in the country’s largest province.
