Islamabad United vs Quetta Gladiators: Five United’s players back to pavilion

DUBAI: Quetta Gladiators’ bowlers put Islamabad United on back foot as five United’s batsmen back to pavilion and failed to show the resistance in the opening clash of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Star players of Islamabad United failed to perform well in first match of Pakistan’s first T20 league. Shane Watsone, Sharjeel Khan, Umar Amin, Babar Azam and Billings lost their wickets at the total of 32 runs.

Watson scored 15 while Sharjeel Khan put 10 runs in team total. Billings, who will kept wickets for Islamabad United, scored just two runs for his team.

Umar Gul and Babar Nawaz took one wicket each and put their team on front foot. Anwar Ali started his spell with a maiden over against Islamabad United’s opener Shane Watson. Gladiators pumped up to grab first win.

Skipper of Quetta Gladiators Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and elected to bowl first against capital’s team and decided to chase the target.
