ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Tuesday said that some political leaders are playing politics on issues of national security.
Addressing a ceremony at National Defense University in Islamabad, Nisar said internal security of the country is a national obligation and continuous efforts and monitoring are needed in this regard.
He said law and order situation of the country has improved due to effective policies and measures of the government.
The interior minister said National Action Plan (NAP) was formulated with consensus after the Army Public School tragedy.
He said that the present government formulated policy for internal security for the first time.
Nisar said that previous governments did not formulate any internal security policy despite occurrence of worst terror incidents in the country.
