Afridi under criticism over controversial remarks

LAHORE: Pakistan T20 skipper Shahid Afridi has caught himself into a bit of red light after his controversial remarks on a question asked by journalist during a Press conference at Qaddafi Stadium Lahore, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Jounalists across the  country have condemned the way Afridi responded to a question about his performance as a skipper and they demanded an apology from Afridi.

Ealier Shahid Afridi was addressing the press conference after a training session at Qaddafi Stadium, journalist asked  “As a skipper your winning ratio is below the satisfactory level, what will the strategy for the upcoming tour to Kiwi Land as Pakistan has been dashed to 6th in T20 rankings after white wash against England,” Boom Boom listened to the question very carefully and replied ” I was expecting such cheap Question from You” with a smiling face.

Apart from that Afridi showed his confidence over the team selected for upcoming tour and said that Pakistan will do better in future as their side is amalgamation of talented senior, junior players.

He said Amir is not like Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif who kept on lying for years, also critiised Pakistan team while sitting on their couch. Amir is talented player and “I always had soft corner for him in my heart as he spoke the truth as stood firmed on that”.
