KARACHI: At least two Military police personnel martyred in gun attack at Tibat road, Karachi on Tuesday, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
According to initial reports, militants opened fire on MP police jeep from back side and escaped on motor bike. Two personnel martyred in attack.
Martyred personnel identified as Arshad and Rashid. Security forces arrived at site and started the search operation.
According to details, light weapons were used in attack, DIG south said that militants attacked from back side and 9MM pistols were used in deadly attack. “Militants targeted the upper part of personnel and escaped on motor bikes,” he said.
Police arrested the one suspect from area of attack and started the investigation.
Prime Minsiter Nawaz Sharif condemned the attack and paid tribute to martyred. Dead bodies of personnel were shifted to P.N.S hospital, Karachi.
Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah called the meeting of APEX committee on Wednesday.
