Winter is coming and with the change of the seasons, people normally get a bout of coughing, sneezing and temperature. These chilly months are warmly associated with the cold and flu.
Here are a few tips to prevent cough and flu
Sun bathe
According to the experts, Vitamin D is more efficient in bolstering the immune system than Vitamin C, which most people associate with immune system. A deficiency of Vitamin can lead to the occurrence of more diseases.
Maintain hydration
It’s a part of good health habits to maintain good hydration, it does not have anything to do with weather. In colder weather our body’s metabolism speeds up and you exhale more moisture than usual so it is vital to refill those fluids in the body. Losing these fluids starts drying the mucous membranes which result in weakening your defense.
Dress appropriately
Cold weather imposes more burden on immune system, not dressing properly would put even more burden. So you are more susceptible to viruses and more likely to catch cold.
Get dirty
Yes you read right! Exposing yourself to dirt (and microorganisms) can have a long-lasting impact on your immune system. As a society, we fear getting dirty, when in fact, studies have shown] it is extremely beneficial.
Drink tea
Those who are not very fond of tea should start drinking tea in winters. Steam from tea stimulates cilia, which are those little hairs inside your nose. Think about cilia as the air filter of nose; keep the cilia healthy and abundant to keep germs from making you sick.
